i always thought that parade commander and RSM or CSM duties is to be served by a Malay officer.
Without prejudice to other races, its for the benefit of the parade in general because the commands are mostly IN malay, hence the enunciation can effectively heard by the general mass.
That being said, there are a few Chinese who can really make it as a PC. But I dun think its the young ones as of now…
