    Well,

JC life is 2 years. 1 year shorter than poly life.
Hence the stress inducing factor due to the shorten period.

But 95% of JC students who did well will be eligible to proceed further to the local universities.

Well they HAVE to anyway, because having A level certificates are common these days and one NEEDS to have that degree to gain an upper hand.

Even Diploma holds a higher salary scale than A level certificate.

And yes, coming from a Diploma background, Diploma students get to enjoy a higher level of relaxation as compared to their A-level confrères due to the short lecture periods being stretched the whole day from 0830 to 1730 hrs.

But be warned that exams period are also stressful because the tutorial notes/lecture notes are pretty much cumbersome and you have to perform a lot of research/reading up before you can understand the various topics/subjects of the Diploma that you intend to take.

Also, only the top 5% of all polytechnic students combined will be eligible for entrance to the local Universities. (It might now be top 10% of ALL polytechnics combined)

Therefore, the onus is on you to choose wisely on the next path that you’re going to take.
